Volunteer/Work Opportunities

Throughout the year, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with Step by Step and our partners.  From helping out with a one-time event, to coming on as a full-time AmeriCorps VISTA, if you’d like to help Southern West Virginians dream, work, and grow, you’ve got options, and this page is a great starting place.

Another great resource is the Volunteer WV site.  Here you can search for volunteer opportunities throughout the state by county, organization, service area, and more.

If you are interested in committing to volunteering full time, with a modest living allowance and benefits, then you might be interested in applying for a year-long term as one of our AmeriCorps VISTAs (Volunteers in Service to America).  Step by Step has nearly 30 VISTAs placed throughout the region within our organization or with partner organizations.  To view a list of current Step by Step VISTA opportunities follow this link to the AmeriCorps site, and type in “Step by Step” for the Program Name, and click “Search.”
